Longwood Gardens is a botanical and topiary garden consisting of over 1,077 acres of gardens, woodlands, and meadows in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. It is one of the premier horticultural display gardens in the United States and is open to visitors year-round to enjoy exotic plants and horticulture (both indoor and outdoor), events and performances, seasonal and themed attractions, as well as educational lectures, courses, and workshops.

The mission of Longwood Gardens is embodied in their Mission Statement, "Longwood Gardens is the living legacy of Pierre S. du Pont, inspiring people through excellence in garden design, horticulture, education, and the arts." Today, Longwood Gardens consists of varied outdoor gardens, ranging from formal to naturalistic in their landscape design, and 20 indoor gardens within a 4.5 acre group of heated greenhouses. Longwood's conservatory contains 4,600 different types of plants and trees, as well as fountains. The Garden also hosts hundreds of horticultural and performing arts events each year, from flower shows, gardening demonstrations, courses, and children's programs to concerts, organ and carillon recitals, musical theatre, fountain shows, and fireworks displays. It also hosts an extensive Christmas light display during the holiday season.

One of the world’s great gardens, Longwood’s story is one of legacy, innovation, and stewardship. The Gardens are a living expression of all that du Pont found inspiring, meaningful, and beautiful. From the intricate fountain systems to the meticulous gardens to the architectural grandeur, awe-inspiring discoveries await at every turn. Join us for an exciting day of extraordinary gardens, wine tasting, and musical adventure.

All That Jazz

Enjoy the sights and sounds of live music while savoring a selection of wines throughout the Gardens. Sip along to exceptional jazz and after the sun goes down, catch our jazz-inspired Illuminated Fountain Performance to round out your day.

There are four music venues (Orchard, Open Air Theatre, Beer Garden, and Pumphouse Plaza). Bring a blanket or folding chair for concerts in the orchard. And, you'll be doing a lot of walking, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

Ticket prices include round-trip luxury motor coach transportation, admission to the gardens, wine tasting voucher (21 & over), a souvenir tasting glass, and "all access" to music venues. Wine tastings begin at 2pm and end at 7pm.
